Jersey Knit Look Book

Posted by

Up until now we have mainly focused on stocking woven cottons and cotton/linen canvas but we recently decided to expand our range and stock some cotton jersey knit fabrics. We wanted to share with you these lovely new fabrics we have in stock and give you a bit of inspiration on what you can make with them.

Cotton+Steel Jerseys

Cotton+Steel have recently released a range of jersey knit fabrics and we couldn't resist their fun, striking designs.

We have picked out a range of colours that suit projects for both men and women. These jerseys are all 95% cotton and 5% spandex which gives them a bit of stretch but also means they are super soft, perfect for making clothes with!

Cotton+Steel have brought out a look book featuring some great projects using their new jersey knits, we thought we would share a few of our favourites with you here:

Another one of our favourites are these leggings using Moons Fog, they would be really warm and comfortable to wear and you can make them stand out with your choice of fabric.

Art Gallery Fabrics Jerseys

Art Gallery jersey knits are also 95% cotton, 5% spandex. We have chosen two fabrics from the collections Wonderful Things and Garden Dreamer. We had previously stocked the bumble bees in woven cotton before and couldn't resist getting them in jersey too!

We have been having a flick through the Art Gallery Fabrics look books and found two gorgeous projects.

Bumble Beez jersey from the Garden Dreamer collection by Art Gallery Fabrics

This Bumble Beez top is a v-neck body suit by Named Clothing, the peach tone and simple pattern looks lovely with jeans for a casual spring outfit.

Aquarelle Study Tint jersey from the Wonderful Things collection by Art Gallery Fabrics

This gorgeous Aquarelle Study Tint maxi dress has also been made using a pattern by Named Clothing. This fabric is very soft and drapey which gives the dress a lovely floaty look, perfect for summer evenings.
