The Fabric Fox was launched in April 2014 by Kirsty and Lee. They run the online fabric shop in Halstead, Essex. They met at university in 2010 and have been attached at the hip ever since. After university, they decided to take a leap of faith and start their own business.
Kirsty has always enjoyed being creative, and with her fabric stash becoming ever larger she found there were so many fabrics out there that she just couldn’t resist. The idea for the business came when she thought she would love to be able to create a fabric shop where people like her could find modern patchwork and quilting fabrics that are unique and fun and add a bit of personality to whatever they want to make.
When Kirsty told Lee her idea he was very excited, and couldn’t wait to be involved. At first, he didn’t know much about fabric and sewing but since starting the business he has learned quite a lot! They choose all of their fabrics together, with Kirsty coming up with the creative ideas and managing the social media accounts, and Lee taking charge of the blog as well as processing and posting all the orders.
