Part of Cotton + Steel's massive Basics range is Add It Up, which features tiny crosses on a multitude of colours. Cotton + Steel have a quick and easy half square triangle quilt pattern that effectively shows off the Add It Up collection, and here is how you can make you own! We have also put together a fat quarter bundle of all the fabrics you need for the front of the quilt - and as it's a bundle you'll get 10% off!

What You Need

Add It Up Quilt Fat Quarter Bundle

1.38m (1.5 yards) for the back

35cm (3/8 yards) for the binding

Instructions

1.) Cut 5" x 5" squares in these quantities:

• Black x 2
• Navy x 8
• White x 10
• Pink x 12
• Orange x 12
• Yellow x 12
• Teal x 8
• Light Grey x 12
• Dark Grey x 4
• Neon Orange Plus x 10
• Green Plus x 10

2.) Cut all of the squares diagonally into triangles.

3.) Use the photo to lay out the quilt.

4.) Sew the triangles along diagonals to create squares and press.

5.) Join squares in rows.

6.) Join rows to create the top of the quilt. It should be a 41" x 41" square.

7.) Finish it off by attaching the backing fabric and binding.

As some of the Add It Up fabrics look similar it's worth mentioning that Neon Orange Plus refers to Add It Up Party Hat and Green Plus refers to Add It Up Lollipop. There are five triangles of each of those prints that form a neutral diagonal stripe in each of the four corners of the quilt. The photo below should help you lay out the pattern correctly.
