Here's your chance to get to know Joanna a little better - Here's a brief Q&A we did with her.

Joanna Clark runs Today We Craft, a website dedicated to making the best craft kits, as well as emphasising how therapeutic crafting can be for everyone's well-being. 

When did you start sewing?

I started sewing from when I was just a little girl. My Mum was a needlework teacher so I used to make little outfits for all my bears and dolls.

Why do you love to sew?

I find sewing incredibly relaxing, it's impossible to be stressed while sewing (although I have come close once or twice!).

What do you love to sew most?

I love to sew practical items. With modern life being so busy sometimes it's difficult to "justify" the time spent sewing. Creating a practical item that will be used regularly makes for guilt free sewing.

What, or who, inspires you?

My biggest inspiration is my amazing MUM! She taught me to sew growing up and she is always on hand for advice, tips and the occasional crafty shopping spree!

What are your go-to colours?

I love working with autumnal shades, but when it's cold and grey outside I also love injecting my craft with colour.

Any advice/tips?

"Measure twice, cut once" as the old saying goes would be my best piece of advice. My number 1 tip would be to head onto YouTube if your'e ever struggling with a project. There are literally thousands of vloggers that specialise in every kind of craft imaginable just waiting to help you through that tricky step or complicated process. A girl can go places with a good pair of sewing scissors and a can-do attitude.

What do you like to do when you’re not sewing?

When not crafting I can be found cuddling with my fur baby Macy on the sofa, eating candyfloss and binge watching Netflix.

Who is your favourite Disney character?

Oh too many! Belle for her kindness, Ariel for her curiosity, Joy for her unquenchable optimism and Tiana for her strong work ethic.

If you had a pet fox what would you name them and why?

I would call my fox "Dash", living in Rural Herefordshire I have never seen one standing still for very long!
